Loudspeaker spikes are more effective when used in conjunction with Herbie's dBNeutralizer decoupling, especially with wood or suspended floors, whether carpeted or bare. Likewise, if your spikes couple firmly to your cabinet and are themselves solid and relatively free of coloration, they will complement Herbie's Decoupling Gliders very well by easing some of the workload and making the Gliders even more efficient. (Herbie's Cone/Spike Decoupling Gliders are used under your present spikes or cones.)

Features fiberglass-reinforced dBNeutralizer(tm) decoupling base and extra-thick brass, stainless steel or titanium disk. Fitted into Magic Sliders, they can be used on virtually any kind of floor, bare or carpeted, with easy-sliding mobility. Extra-deep conical indentation prevents spike from slipping out when lateral pressure is applied. Suitable for audio racks, stands and loudspeakers of virtually any weight.

Regular: 1-3/8" diameter by 1/2" tall. With speaker load, height from bottom of Glider to bottom of conical indentation is about 5/16" (8mm).

Giant: 2-3/8" wide by .67" tall (conical indentation is .144" deep).

Brass: superb hi-end results with most audio systems (our default recommendation).

Stainless steel: superb hi-end results with most audio systems.

Titanium: best-looking and best-sounding results possible.

Cone/Spike Decoupling Glider - Exceptional Value

The Herbie's Audio Lab Cone/Spike Decoupling Gliders are very well made and in one person's opinion offer exceptional value. They're a snap to place under speaker spikes (this application) and allow an ease of use never before realized when making small speaker positioning adjustments. I will be ordering more...

A little better than original in terms of ease of movement.

I have a pair of very heavy speakers which I need to move in and out of the listening position. I was hoping that the gliders would offer a greater ease with which I could do the above. Otherwise a solid product. I have not tested the Sonics yet. My main focus was on the ease of repositioning.

Well Done

Fast shipping and great customer service from Herbie's Audio Lab. The feet are well made and the speakers slide on wood floor better than anything I have tried before--and they tightened up the sound on the speakers. Definately worth the price.

Allowed RoomPerfect to shine!

I have to admit when I first installed these de-couplers on my Zu Omens, I didn't like what they had done to my sound so in the drawer they went, along side the other failed tweaks that I have purchased. About a week later I decided to give them another try but this time I re-ran my RoomPerfect room correction and to my amazement, everything just fell into place. I'm not very good at describing sound but I would simply say that everything just 'cleaned' up. Instrument separation and bass quality improved with an overall relaxation of the music. I liked it a lot! I realize that room correction has an affect here but before Herbies gliders were introduced, I feel the room correction was fighting the speakers/room acoustics, trying its best with fairly good results but then with the de-couplers installed, it shined and performed beautifully. My room is fairly large 24'x14' with open plan dining and kitchen attached, with wooden, suspended floors. Its always been a difficult room to tame - god knows how much equipment has come through this room. The Lyngdorf TDAI2170 did a great job of room correction but now with Herbies de-couplers its excelling. Thanks Herbie for an amazing product.

Works as advertised, wish I had gone bigger though

These gliders are working great once my gear is in position, however I do wish I would have gone with the larger feet. The gliders work exactly as advertised, but because my carpet is fairly new, and has a good amount of spring the smaller feet do sink in a little making it hard to actually glide the gear racks without one of the feet popping out. The wider surface area of the larger feet likely would have resolved the issue. But everything is in place now, and I don't expect to be moving it anytime soon. Great investment and glad it is helping to save me carpets while also offering some great benefits for the system.

Two Thumbs Up!

Installed a set of regular titanium gliders under my Focal Sopra No. 2s which are situated on a carpet and foam pad covered concrete floor. Didn’t notice tighter bass as some have mentioned but more natural, integrated and organic lower octaves were obvious to the ears and overall sound was clearer and better focused. At first the speakers weren’t as solidly connected to the floor and rocked slightly when gently pushed. Letting things settle in overnight helped stabilize things some. After a week In their original location it was time to experiment with placement. Heavy spiked speakers **** to move and mine hadn’t been moved from where they were originally set two years ago. Herbie’s gliders made playing with this a breeze and doable by myself. Using a laser measuring device I’ve been able to move the speakers to audibly better spots and the system is singing like never before. Heavenly!

they actually work

I was skeptical that my 175 pound speakers would be held firmly enough that I could slide them to make the small adjustments to their positions that I needed. I'm not skeptical any longer. These things actually work. A small thing that's not really such a small thing.

A Match Made in Heaven

WOW!!!!!!! These steel gliders are awesome. Great synergy with my Tekton Moabs. I'm in audiophile bliss !!!!! The dynamics from top to bottom are off the charts. The biggest difference I hear is very tight bass and extremely open mid range. The vocals are crystal clear with no grunge. Easily one of the best tweaks I've done. It's like my speakers have come alive. Like every Herbie's product I own; Highly recommended.

Thumbs up for Herbie’s customer support

I wasn’t sure what I needed for my speaker spikes and Robert was very helpful and recommended their Cone/Spike Decoupling Gliders. I received my order very quickly and the packaging was excellent. The sound improvement was definitely noticeable with a more open sound to the speakers.
