When used as an interface in audio electronic applications, this heat-resistant, vibration-control material minimizes microphonic influence. Custom-formulated, silicone-based viscoelastic is firm, just barely "squishy," and compliant. Use as an interface between component shelf and rack, between platform and shelf, under mass-loading weight, wherever a compliant interface is needed for superior vibration control or decoupling. Provides superb isolation with turntable and plinth applications. Effective throughout a broad range of weight loads. 1/16" (1.6mm) thick.
Optional pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side bonds well to most materials. (Adhesive can be applied to both sides by special request.)

Very versatile isolation devices
I have now made two orders from Herbies. of Grunge Buster Dots, Tenderfeet, Baby booties and a tube ring. These with various experimentation and combining with other isolation devices give very satisfactory results. The thick Grunge Buster Dots finally got rid of the harmonic ringing that could transmit from my equipment rack into the tubes of my power amp and was audible at the speakers. Four Tenderfeet reside under my turntable and on a Mana Acoustic reference table. They create a noiseless replay of the vinyl replay, They also make my streamer more analogue sounding. Together with more thick Grunge Buster Dots combined with ceramic balls on my Levinson CD/DAC, now make digital replay much closer to the turntable sound. I would wholeheartedly recommend trying and experimenting with these wide range of choices, at a cost that won't break the bank. Like me you could probably place these products under all your equipment just for peace of mind.

slow delivery
My order from you took 3 weeks to reach me north of Montreal. By then I had left for Europe and Asia. So dont know how it performs until I am back in spring. however based on my previous experiences with your products, it should perform well. By the way another audio product from Boulder placed the same day reached me in Toronto in 2 days.

Dots on the window
I have a good system - McIntosh and Magnepan. Never lived up to my expectations. Behind my setup is a large bay window; triple pane with white munton/mulion grid sandwiched between two panes. Decided to put white 3/4" grungebuster dots at the intersection of the grid and the ends of each grid line - a cheap experiment and nearly invisible. The dots really tamed the glass window vibrations and finally revealed what my system was meant to sound like - absolutely fabulous! This was the cheapest and most impactful tweak I've ever made and the sound from my system is now simply stunning.

Good for components and inner dampings...
I use a lot of different Herbie's products and was never disappointed so far. The Grungebuster Dots I use mainly to isolate components and inner parts. Pretty happy with them and they do their job as expected.

Dots
These Grungebuster dots are ideal for a thin low slide spacer between components.

Grungebuster dots for vibration dampening
If you have an audio component with a thin stamped metal cover, it rings if you tap it. I tried 2 Hockey Pucks spaced 3-4" apart on top of the metal cover. I use 2 1/2" grungebuster dots between the hockey puck and the metal cover. The difference is amazing. No more ringing when taping the cover. This translated into less high frequency hash and tizziness.

Had a slight microphonic issue with my Headphone Amp tunes using two Amperex 6AK5. Used the Grungebuster Dots and UltraSonic SS Dampers to eliminate any issues. Simple solutions and installs.
