SOLD INDIVIDUALLY, NOT AS A SET (4 recommended for most components)

Individually molded with a proprietary platinum-cure silicone blend formulated in-house in consultation with Wacker Chemie AG of Germany for maximum micro-vibration absorption. Recommended for audio and video components weighing from 2 to 220 pounds (100kg).

Particularly well-suited for CD/DVD and SACD players, DACs, Blu-ray Players, preamps, power supplies and conditioners, turntables, and power amplifiers. Delivers a full-bodied and quick, highly articulate result with amazing linear extension. Works equally well with solid-state and tube components. Does not "ooze," mar, or discolor surfaces. A thin decoupling grungebuster Dot is adhered to the base of each Tenderfoot (Extra-Firm version has black grungebuster Dot).

Two versions available:

TenderSoft: for components weighing 40 pounds or less (18kg)

Extra-Firm: for components of virtually any weight up to 220 pounds (100kg).

Dimensions: 1.1" x 1.1" x .65" tall. (28mm x 16.5mm). Default recommendation: four Tenderfoot isolation feet per component.

Though scarcely ever really needed, pressure-sensitive adhesive is an available option.

Big Tall Tenderfoot: Same as above except molded extra tall to lift components free of tall factory feet. Also great for turntables having severe footfall or other macro-vibrational issues. Superior upgrade for AR, Thorens, and VPI suspension springs.

Dimensions: 1.18" x 1.18" x 1.02" tall. (30mm x 30mm x 25.9mm)

Twelve X-firm Tenderfeet under a 22" by 20" 1.5" thick Mahogany board Makes a great Amp platform

I've used both the X-firm and soft tenderfeets before, and I like them. I have 4 X-firm under my REL sub, 4 soft feet under one of my CD players, and 4 soft under one of my pre-amps. Twelve of them now support my 110 Lb Krell FPB 300c power amp by interfacing between a thick Mahogany board and the Butcher block Accoustics table it now sits upon. in this manner, I make a beautiful Mahogany platform amp stand, which allows the use of the factory installed rubber "feet" that come standard on the Krell amp. In this way, I get two levels of sonic vibration protection. Hard to tell whether this really helps the sound quality, but my basement stereo HiFi system where this is employed sounds wonderful!

Extra Firm Tenderfoot

I needed the extra firm tenderfoot as my power amp weighs 135lbs. Once I placed them under my Amp, I was set to listen to some music hoping that the tenderfoot lived up to the reviews posted by others about the tenderfoot. It took about 60 seconds for me to hear so many nuances of clarity that I hadn't heard before. I am hearing greater detail, more pronounced bass and a larger soundstage. Hearing is believing!! Great product and a small price to pay for such a dynamic change in sound quality.

Tendersoft footers for PS Audio PWT transport

I’d tried several aftermarket footers under my PWT transport, including HRS pucks at $125 each. Nothing sounded as good as the original OEM feet that came attached to the transport. I knew there had to be something better. I placed 4 Tendersofts under the unit and listened. Nothing special at first, then I could hear it settling in as the evening progressed. By the next evening I was really surprised by the significant improvement in SQ. These are keepers. IMPORTANT: Don’t make your judgement quickly. Make sure you allow time for these to settle in.

Works great under CD transport

This is the second set of Tenderfeet I have gotten. The first set resulted in such a significant sonic upgrade when placed under the Gustard R26 DAC that I almost immediately ordered another set to go under the Audiolab 6000CDT. Here the improvements are not as large as they were with the R26, but generally offered the same benefits...a tighter more controlled presentation that was even more involving to listen to. I had been tempted to get higher end Audiolab 9000CDT, but after this boost I got on the 6000CDT, I will defer that purchase. For now. Highly recommended!

Do not overlook these!!

I know that reviews sometimes can laden with hyperbole and wishful thinking...but let me add my recent experience with the Tenderfeet. After many years of being unsatisfied with the sound I was getting, I finally managed to tweak the speaker supports to a point that the sound was excellent. The decisive factor was NOT the Tenderfeet, that I had placed under the Gustard R26 (the soft small ones) with little sonic benefit at the time, but some Cerabase-clone ceramic bearing pods that I had put under the 100 kg speakers. In the last few months I have tried different types of vibration isolation devices and the Tenderfeet were by far the least impressive looking-resembling some rubber bumpers that you could get from Home Depot for $3.99. So what has this got to do with why I believe theTenderfeet are a winner??? Read on.... In the months that I had been trying different cures to address the problems that I now know lay elsewhere....Master Clocks, digital-to-digital USB reclockers, silver interconnects and Tenderfeet under the Gustard, none really seemed to fix the problem until I had sympathetic supports under the speakers-but my attempts left a rats nest of unsightly wires and boxes that were not esthetically placed. But once the sound was locked in to my satisfaction, I had friend come and help me pull apart the system and rebuild it with careful wire dressing and equipment placing with the expectation that with these extra efforts, the sound would get even better. We hooked everything up exactly (or so I thought) the way it had been before we dismantled the system. But when we powered it up again, the sound quality had taken a nosedive and the bass had totally lost clarity, precision and grip. Running it in for a couple days after powering it up made zero difference. The bass was so lumpy and ill-defined we even checked (twice) to see if the speakers were in phase (they were). And then it struck me.... before I had torn the system down when it was sounding quite excellent, I had the Tenderfeet under the R26, but on rebuilding it, they ended up under the hot-rodded vintage Pioneer C21 preamp, that the R26 was stacked upon. With little to zero expectations, I removed the Tenderfeet from the preamp and put them back under the Gustard. And IMMEDIATELY the sound quality took a very sharp upturn, and the bass precision and clarity had instantly returned. All from merely swapping where the Tenderfeet had been placed. My friend and me looked at each other in disbelief that such a trivial change could have such a profound effect. This effect was bigger than $300 cable upgrades, $700 Master clocks, $100 audiophile fuses etc. Apparently some components are far more sensitive to vibrations than others, and the R26 especially so. This effect was so profound, that the next morning I ordered another set of Tenderfeet, that will be tried both under the C21 pre-amp and then the Audiolab 6000CDT transport and will stay where they offer the most benefit. And then maybe, I will get a third and final set for the remaining component. Yes, the Tenderfeet work and sometimes exceptionally well, but do not provide equal benefits for all components. My suggestion is to try out one set, and place them under each component sequentially, and see where it makes the most difference. There will probably be one component that will be a WOW-type improvement. You may be put-off by the distinctly low-tech (ie cheap looking) appearance of the Tenderfeet, but I encourage you to look beyond the looks and give them a try. You may be VERY surprised!

Excellent value, great results

I’ve been ordering Herbie’s Audiolab footers, not to mention tube dampers, for years now. I keep coming back to Herbie’s Audiolab every time I buy a new audio gadget. I’ve used the baby booties (and big baby booties) with small gadgets like streamers and smaller headphone amplifiers, where they do a great job. The Tenderfeet (Tenderfooties?) are best under DACs. Their performance with amplifiers is somewhat less unambiguous: they worked great with a tube amplifier I had until recently. Not sure if they’re equally adept with solid-state items. Be that as it may outstanding value and great service. Viva Herbie’s Audiolab.

Good products, good price

I bought a number of tenderfoots to put under my Antipodes K50 Music Server, Aries Cerat Kassandra DAC and MusikLab M300 Power Amps when I installed the equipment into a new rack. The rack itself has no vibration control, and the footers are supporting the equipment chassis directly bypassing whatever footers that equipment has. I'm pleased with the results. The sound hangs together a bit better than it did - it feels more 'right'. I recommend the Herbies approach as a cost effective way to minimise the impact of air / floor transmitted vibrations on sensitive equipment.
