Herbie's Cone/Spike Puckies are great for turntable feet, Black Diamond Racing Cones and other cones having rounded points. Provide intimate "grounding" of cone and spike vibrations and a superb decoupling/isolation interface on shelves and bare floors. Micro-vibration blocking dBNeutralizer base is bonded to your choice of three disk metals:
- Brass: Traditional audio standard because of easy machinability and low cost. Default recommendation for most applications.
- Stainless Steel: Economical alternative to titanium.
- Titanium: The ultimate for sonic neutrality, linearity and taming of glare.
1" wide by 5/16" tall (25.4mm x 7.9mm)
- Extra-Thick version available for extra macro-vibration duty like footfall issues. .44" tall (9.8mm).
No ordinary feet
I have a number of set of feet from Herbie's Audio Lab, and they certainly are not ordinary feet. Firstly I have the Herbie's Hush Puckies under the feet of my Sim Audio Moon i5 Amp. This comes with built-in component isolation, but the spikes on a wooden shelf would leave quite a mess, So the Hush Puckies provide a resting place for the spike tips, where they can do no damage and work effectively isolating the amplier from the environment or the environment from the amplifier. Being Titanium is also an advantage for these. Had some Alumium feets before, but the Titanium sharpens and brings focus to the presentation. Also have a set of Cone/Spike Puckies but not to use with spikes, but with Cermanic Ball bearing, under a Bakoon HPA-12 headphone amplifier. This unit has indentation and fixings to use with a Bakoon RCK-11 isolation table (I have one for a Bakoon EQA-11R phono stage), but these are no longer obtainable. So 4 Cone/Spike Puckies on a flat marble plinth each with a 7/32 inch Aluminum Oxide Al2O3 Ceramic Ball in the middle, arranged so the HPA-12 sits on the ball bearings, isolates the unit. Again Titanium. And that's my tale of these not so ordinary feet
These are perfect for my needs!
I got nothing
Those silly small things are on my floor on top of my 80 LB Amp. MEVER got to 2nd amp. I'm the only one who can't place the miniscule things Under stuff. Even the steel feet are small same as above That's why I dident pay attention to writing something But you asked. You don't post any reviews like this. I can't fill out what I see on the bottom of this.
Quick refund and decent product
Purchased Titanium feet for my speakers, it is better than stock stainless one but not as good as BDR. Herbie is half of the price, not a lot to complain . Sent back for refund and proceeded fairly quick.
Puckies are great
New carpet and speakers with spikes. Yikes. I ordered the Cone/Spike Puckies and am using them with Meadowlark Shearwater speakers, about 40 lbs each. I've been able to move them small increments at a time to get a really good dispersion pattern and thus favorable soundstage. They have been immensely useful in this regard. I recommend them very highly.
Blue Marble Audio
We as a company have been working with Herbie's for many years. All the products that we have acquired have been high quality ,reasonably priced and highly effective. Robert is very knowledgable and can help you with your isolation needs.
They are great for mounting underneath speakers with spikes, so that they can be moved without damaging anything. Jim Smith
Herbie's Tenderfoot - Large
My system is on an upper floor in my home and the music was suffering from the occasional foot falls. After some research online and favorable reviews, I ordered 3 sets for my phono stage, pre and power amp. I installed them as suggested and so far the results are very good. the y do a great job of isolating the components from vibration which in turn improves the sound. I still have some tweaking to do as far as their location under each component and adding and subtracting each set to see if I can optimize their affect.
I have been impressed by the fabrication of these small pieces. My first order housed spikes under my primary turntable and my second order for these items rescued carpet under speaker spikes. They do the job they are designed to do and do it well.
Enhanced definition, sound stage and musicality
Got stainless steel decouplers to go u der the spikes of my speaker stands. They injected new life into the music. Bass got tighter and better defined, and so did the higher frequencies. Overall believability got better, and spatial info enhanced. I could never have thought such a small investment could turn my $5000 speakers around! Thank you.
Had just installed these on my sim cd 5.3 cones and from first song...i knew it was going to be good.Had some older ones that i had just put in and it made a huge difference!?...These just made it all more better!...what took me so long?
They work !!!
Bought them for my Sashas. They have a profound effect on the sound. Cleans up the bass which gives you better mids. I love them, Best tweak I have bought for my system hands down
