UltraSonic SS is designed specifically for small-signal tubes. By reducing microphonic anomalies, the musical result is an "undamping" or "unveiling" of the musical vitality and ambience of the originally recorded event. Firm-yet-compliant isolation pads made of an exclusive silicone/silica formulation, coupled with tempered titanium C-rings, deliver amazingly natural sound. Harsh, acute vibrations are reduced in amplitude so they do not cause irritating distortions, fuzz or glare, allowing the full musical potential of the tubes to fully blossom. With more of the inherent potential of your preamp and small-signal tubes realized, your audio system will achieve a new level of high performance.
Sleeveless pads allow use to 300° F (149° C), which is well above the temperature range of most small-signal tubes, including amplifier input and driver tubes. Not recommended for extremely hot-running 6H30 "supertubes," 5687/6900 triodes, 6973 and other beam power tubes, EL84, rectifier tubes, output power tubes, or other extremely hot-running tubes (use UltraSonic Rx or HAL-O III for these).
UltraSonic SS is our primary recommendation for all cool to warm-running small-signal tubes listed below, for use with CD player, DAC, preamp, and amplifier. Changing Gear? UltraSonic SS isolation pads can be slid off one titanium C-ring and onto another. If you need a different size than what you have, spare C-rings are available, so you don't have to buy a whole damping instrument to change sizes.

ChileDeampers for preamp tubes in Cayin integrated
When I thought that tuning of my Cayin integrated amplifier was completed, I realized that when adjusting the bias of the tubes, every time I would touch the chassis with fingers or the screw-driver, a small buzz would come out of the speakers at zero volume. I realized that there was a design problem that translated in vibrations transfered to the sound. After some research I first ordered the dampers for the preamp tubes, and right the next day they arrived I ordered the dampers for the driver tubes. The improvement in performance was obvious, and results in reduction of base noise in the bass to medium bass region, which allows for better definition and imaging of bass and drums, and with diminishing returns, all the way up.
